CATEDRAL
Cathedral
Masterpiece of the lush novohispano baroque of the eighteenth century. It
consists of three naves and three facades, the main one stands out. In 2010 its
central altarpiece, covered in 24-carat gold leaf, was inaugurated and made by
Javier Marín. Hours: 07:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 20:30 hrs. (every day).
PORTAL DE ROSALES
In 1827 we began to build this portal in what
was the Plaza de San Agustin, as a tribute to Victor Rosales (highlighted zacatecan
military insurgent). Today is meeting point of the university students and
inside (and around) you will find several fast food options and desserts of
national and foreign chains.
